GROUPE ENERGIE - Master Class with Emma HAZIZA

Freshwater, a scarce resource?

The Groupe Energie is pleased to invite you to a Master Class with Emma HAZIZA on the theme "Fresh water, a rare resource?", in collaboration with SciencesPo Alumni.

Because there is no water without energy and no energy without water .... An ESCP Alumni Energy Group conference in partnership with the Sciences Po Alumni Environment and Sustainable Development Group.

Emma Haziza will define freshwater and provide a global overview from her perspective as a hydrologist. She will put into perspective the major issues facing our territories today, and discuss the challenges ahead in the face of climate change.

Emma holds a doctorate from the Ecole des Mines de Paris, is a hydrologist and an expert in the development of territorial resilience strategies in the face of climatic extremes.

From 2005 to 2015, she managed numerous crises as an expert for the Préfet de l'Hérault and the Chief of Staff of the southern zone, and is a member of the Scientific Council of the French Ministry of the Civil Service and UNICEF.

She has also taught at leading engineering schools, and for the past 20 years has trained numerous public players and managers. In 2023, she was chosen to train Directors of Central Administration, French Ambassadors and the General Secretariat for Investment on the major challenges facing water in France and worldwide.

An international lecturer and the Water, Flooding, Drought and Adaptation to Climate Change correspondent for most of France's major radio and TV media, her weekly column "Un degré de Conscience" on France Info has raised awareness among millions of French people of the challenges and solutions facing the climate crisis.
