Sustainable Development & Management Group - Conference on the power of plants to counter climate change

With Corinne Thérézien-Racamier (ESCP 89), specialist in nourishing forests and gardens

The ESCP Alumni Sustainable Development & Management Group is pleased to invite you to a conference on "The power of plants to counter climate change and their example for team management: lessons from the forest garden".

What if plants had much more to teach us than we thought?
In this inspiring and accessible talk, Corinne Thérézien-Racamier (ESCP 89), a specialist in nourishing forests and gardens, invites us to (re)discover living things as a lever for action in the face of climate change, but also as a source of inspiration for management.

Drawing on her expertise in agroecology and the design of resilient ecosystems, she explores the essential role of trees, the dynamics of plant cooperation... and the surprising parallels with the way human teams function. For, yes, a forest functions much like an organization: through interdependence, diversity of roles, shared intelligence and the ability to adapt together.

Topics covered include

  • How a forest "makes" rain
  • The power of trees to help the climate and the soil
  • The principles of a nourishing forest-garden, and its many benefits
  • Trees and humans: differences... and similarities!
  • What nature can inspire in management
  • Parallels between forestry and team cohesion

In a lively, joyful and undogmatic tone, Corinne offers a fascinating insight into the mechanisms of the living world - and opens up some very concrete ways of combining ecology and collective intelligence in our organizations.

Corinne Thérézien-Racamier (ESCP 89) began her career in big business (12 years in FMCG) before becoming an entrepreneur in the day nursery sector.

Over the years, her career has taken a more committed turn, guided by a deep-seated conviction: the need to rethink our models in the light of planetary limits. She then trained in agroecology, permaculture and collective dynamics, to put her skills at the service of the ecological transition.

Today, she designs and leads support initiatives focusing on food resilience and the regeneration of living organisms, working closely with local authorities, companies and players in the social economy.

His vision, at the crossroads of the business world and living systems, opens up new perspectives for thinking about action in a context of profound transformation.

We will be privileged to benefit from his testimony and vision, rooted in experience and driven by sincere commitment.

The conference will be followed by a networking cocktail reception.

We look forward to seeing you there,

Xavier Amoros (ESCP 93), Marie-Anaïs Berline (MBA 04), Jane Vuillier (MiM 12) & Véronique Darmon (ESCP 86)
