When music meets leadership

The ESCP Alumni Energy Group, in collaboration with the ESCP Au Féminin Group, is pleased to invite you to an exceptional evening:

An event organized in partnership with theESCP Music Collective student music association and Hi-Team, the executive network that invites inspiring personalities from execption.

 

Guest of honor: Bar AVNI, conductor, First Prize at the La Maestra 2024 competition in Paris and the first woman in over 120 years to conduct the Bayer Philharmoniker.

 

Between two concerts, Bar AVNI honors us with an evening of music, inspiration and female leadership at ESCP.

 

The evening will continue with a convivial networking session over a drink.

 

Biography of Bar AVNI :

  • As the first winner of the 2024 La Maestra competitionin Paris, Bar Avni also won the Prix de l’Orchestre, the Prix Arte, the Prix Echo and the Prix des Salles de Concert et Orchestres Français. She continues her collaboration with the Maestra Academy, in partnership with the Paris Mozart Orchestra for two years.
  • Senior Chief of the Bayer Philharmoniker from 2021 to 2024, she marked an historic first as a woman in this role in over 120 years.
  • In the coming seasons, she will lead the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National Bordeaux, the Bremer Philharmoniker, the Gothenburg Symphony, the Basel Chamber and other prestigious ensembles. Hailed by Diapasson magazine for her dynamic presence and refined musicality, she had the privilege of attending renowned conductors such as Klaus Mäkelä and Myung-Whun Chung, and was invited by Gustavo Dudamel to attend with the New York Philharmonic this season.Her keen musical instinct and adaptability through a wide repertoire enabled her to fruitfully collaborate with mentors such as Barbara Hannigan, under whose direction she made her debut earlier this year with the WDR. Funkhaus Orchestra and the Gothenburg Symphony.
  • Trained as a percussionist, she studied directing in TelAviv with Yoav Talmi, then went on with Martin Sieghart and Ulrich Windfuhr. In 2021, she was the youngest recipient of the Kurt Masur Institute Award.
