EASTERN EUROPE GROUP- Dinner

For our 115th rendezvous, with the help of Ms Hasmik Tolmajyan, Armenian Ambassador to France, and Mr Hovhannès Guévorkian, Official Representative of Nagorno-Karabakh, we'll be tackling the following topics

Debacle in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh

Ms. Tolmajyan is a graduate of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and Sciences Po Paris. A career diplomat with the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2000, she has been ambassador to Paris since 2018.

Mr Guévorkian is one of the most singular diplomats in existence. Firstly, because he has represented his country in France for twenty years, whereas it is rare to hold such a position in the same foreign state for more than four or five years. Secondly, in a few months' time, he will lose his position, as his country will no longer exist.

Mr. Guévorkian, 49, is the representative of the Republic of Artsakh, proclaimed in September 1991, and whose blitzkrieg invasion two weeks ago by its Azerbaijani neighbor led to its obliteration. (Le Figaro, October 6)

Since we'll soon be 30 years old, we'll be taking this opportunity to begin preparations for our 30th birthday party in March 2024. Our first meeting dates back to March 21, 1994!

Although we have a very busy agenda, we are expecting a large number of people to attend the meeting. As the size of the room is limited, the number of registrations is restricted.
