UK ALUMNI -The Climate Fresk - 16 October 2023
An ecological transition workshop with the ESSEC & HEC Alumni
Dear ESCP Alumni in the UK,
ESSEC Alumni, HEC in the UK, and ESCP Alumni are delighted to partner and jointly organise an in-person Climate Fresk at the HEC UK House. Join a fun and interactive workshop to better understand how climate change works and why it is the challenge of the 21st century :
Climate Fresk in London: the game to understand climate change
This 3-hour session will be organized in English
Monday 16th October at 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
HEC UK House, 43 Parker Street, London WC2B 5PS
Faced with the climate emergency, we believe that everyone needs to be trained on the basics of climate science, in order to understand the situation, collectively accept the structural changes that need to be made, and start taking effective action. Climate Fresk is an empowering tool for everybody concerned with climate change and willing to raise awareness in their entourage.
About the workshop
Climate Fresk is a serious game where participants, guided by a facilitator, use their collective intelligence to build a collage and link the causes and consequences of climate change using 42 cards that represent the different dimensions of climate change.
Participants gather in teams of 4 to 8. They discover 42 cards representing the different components of climate change and collaboratively work to identify cause and effect relationships, under the supervision of a trained facilitator to guide them, provide additional insights, and ensure smooth communication.
- REASONING: Discovering and linking the cards and creating the collage
- CREATIVITY: Relaxing, taking ownership of the collage and decorating it
- DEBRIEF: A calm discussion on the participant's emotions and questions to finally brainstorm over the individual and collective solution
Our objective
Reach at least 1,000 alumni in 12 months; we will then aim higher and seek to build a team capable of training a significant part of the 70,000 alumni of ESCP Paris in the next three years!
Since 2019, 1,000,000 people have participated in the Climate Fresk, in France and around the world. Today, 35 alumni are already trained in fresk facilitation and are ready to mobilise to lead this series of events.
Whether you are a "know-it-all" on one or several themes related to the climate issue or a total neophyte, the Climate Fresk is a game that adapts to all types of audiences, and its value lies in the exchanges rather than the basic knowledge you will arrive with.
