Dear Alumni,
The Blue Factory has just booked its first event venue for October 8th. The event will be held at the North Eastern University's venue space at Tower Bridge and will serve as the following:
- The official launch of the Blue Factory into the Startup Ecosystem.
- A relationship-building opportunity with North Eastern University, which is providing additional add-ons for us.
The event will open at 6:30 PM and close around 9:30 PM. It will comprise an open mic pitching session for the students and external startups, followed by a fireside chat during the second part of the evening, and conclude with a networking event.
About this Event
In Collaboration with The Startup Events and North Eastern University we are thrilled to host inaugural event of the Blue Factory, a pioneering initiative designed to connect and empower the startup ecosystem in London and beyond. This event marks the beginning of the Blue Factory's mission to actively engage with the local entrepreneurial community, fostering a network of like-minded startup founders, investors, and supporters.
The Blue Factory is distinguished by its unique European architecture, rooted in the rich academic environment of ESCP Business School's campuses across Europe. Our approach is defined by a supportive and inclusive culture that nurtures innovation and collaboration. This event serves as a platform to build a vibrant community where ideas can flourish, partnerships can be formed, and startups can access the resources they need to succeed.
The London Blue Factories events brings together hundreds of London startup founders, investors, and a rich mix of startups, scaleups, late-stage tech businesses, academia, and the public sector and it's completely free to attend.
The London Blue Factory Startup Events is an informal and networking-focused event.
We are expecting over 150 attendees,
- 60% of them being founders,
- 15% investors,
- 25% other industry professionals.
Founders and investors will have the opportunity to do a one-minute pitch during the event (see the details below).
Open Mic Pitching: This is a 60-minute pitch session where startups can present their ideas to the audience. It is often one of the most popular activities and provides startups with the opportunity to engage with the audience and practice their pitches.
Fireside Chat: The fireside chat is a great way to close the event. We aim to have a panel discuss topics or answer questions from the audience. The panel often includes diverse backgrounds to appeal to a broad audience, typically featuring 4-5 speakers. This session usually lasts for 45 minutes.
Moderator: Dean Williams - Senior Business Consultant, Goldsmith University
Panellists:
Sam Simpson - Co-Founder & CEO @ FounderCatalyst
Emily Centeno - Director of Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions, Communications, and Events
Richard Corps - Non-Executive Director | Director of Entrepreneurship, Northeastern University London
