Reflecting on your career path, seeking feedback on your resume or pitch, or gaining a better understanding of a profession or sector is part of every student’s journey. You are enrolled in the MiM, MBA, Bachelor, or MSc? Mentoring connects you with a volunteer graduate who is ready to share their experience and valuable advice. This program is a unique opportunity that allows you to establish a direct connection with someone who has already been through the process and can help you see things more clearly.
How does it work?
The mentoring programme starts every year in fall. You will receive an email as soon as the programme opens.
Once open, everything takes place online:
- Log in to your personal account.
- First time logging in or forgotten your password? The “Forgot password / First login” link is there to help.
- Access the mentoring module in your personal space.
- Search for an Alumni profile using filters (keywords, sector, profession, interests...).
- Create your pair by selecting the mentor who best meets your needs and criteria.
- Get in touch with your mentor via email, phone or LinkedIn.
Please note: you are assigned only one mentor for the entire duration of your studies.
A few tips for a good start
Once the pairing between you and your Alumni mentor is set up, it’s up to you to get things moving. For the mentoring relationship to really work, a few habits can make all the difference:
An automatic introduction email is sent to both you and your mentor. Then it’s your turn to make the first move: an email, message or call in the first few weeks helps start the relationship. Planning a meeting quickly (via video call or over coffee) sets the tone.
No reply to your message? Don’t worry. Alumni can sometimes have busy schedules. Don’t hesitate to send a follow-up message to restart the conversation.
The pairing is intended to last throughout your studies, and sometimes beyond. Exchanges regularly in order to build a real relationship of trust, useful for progressing at every stage.
Having a few questions in mind helps you make the most of each meeting: feedback, career choices, professional advice or tips for finding your way… each exchange becomes more concrete and rewarding.
By signing up for the mentoring programme, you also commit to your mentor to:
- Share your goals, aspirations, and what drives your professional project,
- Maintain regular contact and make yourself available for discussions or meetings,
- Keep them informed of your progress, milestones reached, or any questions,
- Engage in your relationship with openness, curiosity, and consistency until the end of your studies.
