GROUPE PAYS DE LOIRE - Networking Evening

AI in healthcare, or are we going to be treated by robots?

The Pays de Loire Group, in association with CentraliensSupelec Loire-Atlantique, is organizing its next"Échanges et Réseaux" evening.
Artificial Intelligence is aptly named, isn't it? Strange cohabitation for these 2 words, don't you think? What could be more human than our intelligence, which is still partly mysterious? Not so with AI, which is well-defined but poorly understood.
Healthcare is one of AI's fields of application, and how can it improve the healthcare system and personalize treatment? What are the concrete uses of AI, and what are the prospects for human health?
From a technical point of view, AI can be divided into two families:
  • On the one hand, symbolic AI, notably logic-based expert systems requiring the formalization of knowledge and established rules.
  • On the other hand, Machine Learning confronts the algorithm with a data set, so that it can define its own mathematical models. Depending on the data to be analyzed (images, signals, text, etc.), sub-fields such as computer vision and natural language processing have developed.
Alongside the algorithmic developments of AI, ethical issues are emerging: automated decision-making, respect for human rights, bias control...

What questions need to be asked today in order to frame the use of AI?
This workshop will be presented by Marianne Allanic, an AI & healthcare expert.
The mission of her company ALTHENAS is to facilitate data exploitation and Artificial Intelligence projects, helping companies to assess their maturity and define a roadmap. Because a technological transition cannot take place without the support of teams, ALTHENAS offers training in the principles and challenges ofALTHENAS offers training in the principles and challenges of artificial intelligence, using serious games (LEGOs workshop, escape game) and feedback content (podcasts, etc.).
