GROUPE PAYS DE LOIRE: Electrical energy storage

Networking Evening

The Pays de la Loire Group and the Supelec Association are pleased to invite you to the conference
Electrical energy storage. Applications, technologies and challenges
Monday May 18, 2020 at 7pm

Electricity storage is an essential part of the transition to renewable energies to combatCO2 emissions and climate change.

Dominique Guyomard, Director of Research at the CNRS, will give us an overview of the current state of electrical energy storage, with particular emphasis on hydrogen storage and batteries.

We'll be describing the lithium-ion battery technologies awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2019, for which an extremely fast-growing market and the emergence of new applications are expected.

We'll look at the challenges ahead, focusing on cost, energy storage, safety, and environmental impact (natural reserves, life-cycle analysis).

We'll also be talking about the expected global trend, and how Europe is positioning itself via the battery airbus project.
